About me
Having been arrested and banned from journalistic activities in Iran, Mahtab Quolizadeh is a reporter in exile.
The Iranian economic journalist was arrested and sentenced to nearly three years in prison and banned from all journalistic activities by the Islamic Republic because of her journalistic work and her opposition to the compulsory hijab.
In 2024, she won a fellowship from the German newspaper taz and moved to Berlin through this journalism scholarship. Her voice is shared with readers and viewers of taz, Tagesspiegel, BBC, MBN America, and Iran International.
